Still some question about に 行きます I have already known that we could say 1. 飲みに 行きます 2.勉強しに 行きます Both these two sentences are using verb(without ます)before に but I see someone using this sentence:仕事に 行きます。 is it right? could we use noun before に in this grammar?I have also met this sentence: 買い物に 行きます Why not 買い物しに 行きます

"し" is inflection of a verb as "する". So the act to which I say "する" is emphasized. Both are correct.

仕事に 行きます。 この場合の「仕事」は「仕事をしに」を略しています。「買い物」も同じです。 1. 飲みに 行きます = 居酒屋に 行きます。 2.勉強しに 行きます = 学校に 行きます。
