Can you help me break down this Korean sentence plz? The sentence: 영주자격 신청 시 법 위반 사실이 있으면 신청이 제한될 수 있으니 주의하세요. I am especially struggling with this part of the sentence: 제한될 수 있으니 주의하세요. I appreciate your help. Aurelien

제한하다: to limit; to restrict 제한되다 is the causative version of above Literal translation: "Please note(be aware) that the application(eligibility) for a permanent residency permit can be restricted in case of existing criminal records." =================================================== breaking down: 주의하세요 = please be careful/pay attention 신청이 제한될 수 있으니 = since the application can be restricted. ~ㄹ 수 있다: it is possible ~니: since/because

I guess above sentence is a litttle awkward, 제한된다 is not appropriate in this context. but many people use like this. 제한된다 means there could happen some limitations. But in this case they seemingly are saying, something you have applied to office could be canceled. I suppose there are no options between Yes or Not. Approval or Cancel. Nothing like limitions. I would say 영주자격 신청 시 법 위반 사실이 있으면 신청이 취소될 수 있으니 주의하세요. IMO

When you apply Permanent Resident Permit, Appliance could be restricted if you violated the law. Therefore, you need to be careful. When you apply Permanent Resident Permit = 영주 자격 신청 시 Appliance could be restricted = 신청이 제한될 수 있으니 if you violated the law. = 법 위반 사실이 있으면 you need to be careful. = 주의하세요
