Old, out of date , outdated, which one for school equipment?
I want to mean
The school equipment is old we need new one.../ to update it.
Is "out of date" right? What difference with outdated?

outdated is better in this instance.
'Out of date' is usually used for food or products which will spoil, or be unusable, rather than equipment which may just no longer be relevant. Hope that helps.
