In your question you missed the letter "e" at the end of "one". And to answer your question, the 1st one is the correct one. You need to have the verb to be in the past "was" after the question word "who" at all times. Glad i could help, and have a wonderful day.

Neither are correct in American English. Neither would be acceptable. The correct answer: I asked him to see who was at the door.
