What does "compromised employee credentials" mean? "as we’ve seen with LinkedIn, Dropbox and countless others, breaches very often result from compromised employee credentials." My understanding is that the identity information, and other company-related logins and passwords of employees are stolen by some outsiders. It doesn't necessarily mean employees deliberately leak their credentials, right? Please enlighten me. I'll appreciate that.

Compromised is a vague term. The employee credentials (passwords) may have been stolen, deliberately leaked, accidentally leaked, hacked, or etc.

Yes, that appears to be what this passage is saying (that the log-in data etc of employees is stolen).
