I agree with Michael Chambers. Here's another guess: If you have not known Jerry for a long time, you'd think the photograph on the right is strange.

They are all a bit odd and the precise meaning is not possible to identify. I think what you mean is this: "If you first met Jerry only recently, then you will think that the photograph on the right (i.e. the photo of him) is strange." This is a horrible mixed conditional!
