"Are there" and "any". Help to understand please:) If I want to ask smth and use "there are" in plural I should use "any". Am I? F. ex. The answer: there are a lot of postcards on the table. What will be the question? " are there any postcards on the table?" Next example. There are a lot of old things in the pantry. The question "Are there any things in the pantry?" Is it correct?
