An article before "his cat" or "Joe's coat" I know that we shouldn't use articles before this/that/his/my/etc and {name}'s but what if he/she has a lot of coats/cats..should I say "it's a his cat" and "this is a Joe's coat" ( in case if I noticed that he could forgot about it in a bar).
