When I saw your title, my first thought was that it should be _corrected_ to "People will work longer hours in the future." "People will work more in the future" is correct English but the meaning is unclear. For example, it could mean that there will be less unemployment in the future. If you want to express the idea that working more could include other changes, like fewer days of vacation, you could say "People will have more work and less leisure in the future."
