What does "sigil" mean?

It's a sign or a signal . I had to look it up in the dictionary though, and having spoken the language for so many years, I've never come across it. Save your energy for more useful vocab :)

I agree. I have never heard or used this word before in my life. Sometimes it is fun to learn a new word, but no one will know what you are talking about if you use sigil in a sentence.
