Can I use these interchangeably? I don't understand the difference. I have dreamed about this for so long. I have been dreaming about this for so long.

These are the present perfect and the present perfect continuous. The first sentence implies that you are about to do whatever it was that you had dreamt of. The second sentence is continuous and implies not only that you have been dreaming of doing this thing, but also that you still are - in other words you are not about to do it.
