what is the specific meaning of book-hopping?

Normally people read one book before they begin another one. However, some people read several books at the same time, so we would call this book-hopping. But because it's physically impossible to read them all at exactly the same time, you need to hop from one to the other in order to read them all. Hope this helps! Sinead
