Past/future tense verb conjugations I want to know if this is a thing in German. I know I could say "Ich lese ein Buch.", meaning "I am reading a book", which is present tense. How would I say something like "I will read a book (future tense)" or "I read a book (past tense)"?

This is definitely a thing in German! Ich werde ein Buch lesen - I will read a book Ich habe ein Buch gelesen - I read a book There is another past tense form "Ich las ein Buch" but that is quite formal and you wouldn't really say it in conversation.
