What does this sentence mean? "New-borns are usually too fragile to be moved, but at the Royal Hallamshire the purpose built baby MRI is just metres from the special care unit." I know MRI is the abbreviation of magnetic resonance imaging. But what does " just metres from the special care unit" mean?

Hi Pei Yung, The "just metres" is telling us the distance from the special care unit. In this case, it is saying that the MRI is very close to the special care unit (which is a part of the hospital that is important for emergency cases of these babies... similar to intensive care unit (ICU))

It tells you that MRI machine is a distance away from a special care unit. Meters is a unit of measurement.
