It's time to buy sugar I don't know what does that phrase mean. I heard it in a series. The context is the next: There is a businessman having a phone call whilst he's reading the newspaper and he says "I've been reading about the election results in Brasil. It's time to buy sugar". What does it mean? Thanks in advance.

In this context it means he thinks the price of sugar will go up because of the election result, so it's a good time to buy stocks (US) / shares (UK) of sugar producing companies or other investments that move with the price of sugar, e.g. sugar futures.
