Using That Hi, "SAD results from a decrease in the amount of sunlight (that) sufferers receive." In the sentence above, "that" is omitted, why? And when I should\ shouldn't omit "that"? Thanks!

Here "that" is marking a relative clause. The reason is (that) in this case "that" is optional; the sentence is good with or without that.
