Using "Nach eil" I'm moving right along in my book and I've learned a new phrase, 'nach eil', for asking questions in a negative form. For example: "Isn't Anna happy?" ---> "Nach eil Anna toilichte?" In American English, we don't tend to use the negative interrogative form in most situations. It would be much more natural to just ask "Is Anna happy?" So, is this form of question more common in Scottish Gaelic or would you be more likely to hear "a bheil"?
