get with and the grid I read from somewhere... the grid=informal way of describing the network of information that can be used to keep track of someone get with=to become someone's boyfriend/girlfriend I'm not sure that if they are correct as I can't find these explanations in the dictionary.

The grid sounds about right, although I would not restrict it to information about people. For me "get with" means to understand something, as in "Maths is easy - just get with it" For more of a one-night stand, you could use "get off with somebody" Please bear in mind that I'm old and that the "yoof" might see things differently :-)
