Is following sentence correct? Hi there. Could someone please let me know if the below sentence is correct and natural: The main problem is that the equipment heats up after running for around two hours and consequently switches off. Thank you!

"overheats" instead of "heats up"

I would agree with Elena and say overheat rather than heat up

It is cerrainy correct. However if your aim us to sound as natural as possible if would make a very small change: "The main problem is that the equipment heats up after running for around two hours and just switches itself off. But yoir first sentence was fine, its just that you only really say 'consequently' in more formal setting.
