Can anyone help me understand the long complex English sentence? The sentence: Since graduating from high school, have you pursued any volunteer activities, work experiences, or leadership of student organizations that were specifically related to reducing social, educational or economic disparities based on race, ethnicity or gender, or to improving race relations IN THE U.S.? My question: Does the question mean "improving race relations IN THE U.S" and "reducing social, educational or economic disparities based on race, ethnicity or gender IN THE U.S."? OR Does the question mean "improving race relations IN THE U.S" and "reducing social, educational or economic disparities based on race, ethnicity or gender BOTH IN AND OUT OF THE U.S."? THANKS

I suppose technically, it could be either, but I would go for the version in which everything refers to within the US.
