Been is a form of verb "to be " called the "Participle " It will be used in the following cases : - When using the verb to be in the present perfect tense ,* to have + verb in participle * in this case verb to be ---- have been -When using any verb in the present perfect continuous * to have+ been + verb+ing have been doing or listening etc . -When using verb "to be" in the past perfect * had + been* -When using it in the past perfect continuous *had + been+verb+ing* had been doing , etc
