Adjectives in English Hello everybody!

I was wondering if I could use adjectives in the following way:

1. It's a thing devoted to make me feel better.

2. It's a book capable to catch his attention.

3. The book capable to catch his attention was written by her.

Do I underdtand that correctly that in the examples above we can omit «that's (capable)»?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Yes, you're correct that we can omit 'that is'. The form in these sentences is slightly different - you need to say: "It''s a thing devoted to making me feel better." "It's a book capable of catching his attention." "The book capable of catching his attention was written by her."
