Well the smell of organic twine is a sort of dusty organic dryness while spring flowers are not a very strong smell and depend on the region you come from, in the UK these could be daffodils which are pretty strong but I suspect the author means lighter perfumes. So the house smells of gentle flowery perfumes and dusty material. Sounds like a house unused for 4 to 6 months.
