Hi, guys. What does "way off" mean in the following context? Thank you in advance. :) Unless the radar boys are way off, some of those saucers are enormous. I just can't see a guided missile five hundred feet in diameter.

'way off' in this context means 'completely inaccurate'

It means they are wrong, 'way off' is short for 'way off the mark'. Think of it as a metaphor, when you are shooting at a target, if you are off the mark, you have made a bad shot--sort of like being wrong.
