How to say "try to sleep"
Hi there. I was wondering how to say "try to sleep" in Japanese (for example, when somebody cannot sleep because is worried about something).
Is this way correctly?:
眠ろうとして (ください) -> the "kudasai" is optional
Thanks!

I personally would say「(悩んでてもしょうがない)もう寝た方がいいよ」

「眠ろうとしてください」is correct grammatically, but the followings are more natural.→「眠ってごらんよ」「眠ってみたら(どうですか)」

lol... you cannot translate literally. If I am not mistaken, you are trying to say to someone / child: Try to sleep.
Then it should be: もう寝なさい
眠りなさい is hardly / never used.

For exapmle, If you say that you tried to sleep because you felt bad, translating that into japanese, あなたはきぶんがわるいので、ねようとした。
