Is this nursery rhyme related to Battle of Vinegar Hill? "I’m Dusty Bill From Vinegar Hill" Recently I'm reading the book of My Very First Mother Goose. But there is not much information about dusty bill on the internet. I've found one post that said this nursery rhyme actually is related to Battle of Vinegar Hill. It describes the people who were suffering in the war and due to the war they could not take bath even they wanted to. Is that right?

Honestly, I don't know. I just googled this and read about the Battle of Vinegar Hill. I had never heard about Dusty Bill (or Dirty Bill). I suspect it is based on English prejudice about the Irish, calling them dirty. "Dusty" is probably recent, to make it less racist. 因为我是爱尔兰裔美国人,我猜应该被冒犯。
