Maiden name? or birth name?
I use my maiden name at work. I consulted a dictionary and found I can say that by birth name as well. Which is common in everyday conversation?

Hello Aki san, in the United States, I think it is more common to use 'maiden name' in everyday use, especially if you are referring to a woman who is married. 'Birth name' is more common to use if the person you are referring to currently uses a different name than the name given to them at birth.

Using maiden name is the most common and only form used where I am from. Someone might say "my name given at birth was..." when they are explaining to someone the name they are going by is not the legal name on their birth certificate.
