An American would probably not write a date like that.

We would write:
    June 18, 2018
    or
    The 18th of June, 2018

but I think they write dates differently in the UK (and other English speaking countries) and that might be an acceptable date format elsewhere.

In a sentence, for example, I met you on the 18th of June 2015.
I met you on June 18, 2015
