How can I understand this sentence? Thanks A foreign company proposes to construct a smelter at a cost of $100 which will use $50 worth of power at the current price. Does it mean the total cost would be 150?

Hi Jennie The two values are about different things. $100 is the cost to build the smelter. $50 is the cost of power to run the smelter. https://www.italki.com/ana.nz –English and Portuguese Teacher - professora de inglês e português

that depends on the context. 100 and 150 are both possible.
