A plea is much stronger than a request. If you make a plea for something, it's the same as begging. A request is simply asking for something. For example: "He pleaded with his girlfriend not to leave him." "He requested a pay rise from his employer." or "His plea for leniency was not heard." "He made a request for an extra pillow on his bed." Hope this helps! :)

A request is just asking for something. A plea is when you are desperately asking for something, and you really want it badly!
