Difference What is the difference betwen such as and like?

'Such as' is used to introduce one or more examples, such as the ones you find in textbooks. 'Like' is a less formal alternative, as pointed out by Maja. 'Like' has other uses that 'such as' does not, notably for comparison: I intend to buy a new phone like my old one.

"such as" is used in a formal setup, and is correct grammar. "like" is used in a comfortable set up and has become a sort of 'slang' word. Hope this helps!
