To add to Alice's breakdown, assuming the part in brackets is what you didn't understand: -multi-layered means that her performance worked in different ways, e.g. perhaps on a simple level as well as a deeper one. -'turn' means performance -there is a logical 'who is' that has been omitted after 'woman'. -there is also something missing after 'unabashedly, which is what unabashedly refers to. I guess you know that, since you cut the quote there.

Hey Hazem, ''Of the various outstanding performances in the film, Hala steals the limelight with a ferocious, multi-layered turn as a woman compassionate yet defiant, and unabashedly desirous yet dignified''. * You should get this idea: There were many good performances in the film, and amongst them, Hala was the one who had the best performance by holding a position at the centre of public attention, observation, and notoriety. That is justified due to the fact that she acted ferociously by playing a turn (''turn'' equals to ''performance'') in such different levels (''different levels'' equals to ''multi-layered'') that she was seen not only as an unabashedly desired and compassionate woman but also as a defiant and dignified one. 1) ''limelight'' equals to ''a focus of public attention'' 2) ''turn'' equals to ''performance'' 3) ''multi-layered'' equals to ''different levels/ways'' 4) ''unabashedly'' equals to ''in an unabashed / unashamed manner'' = ''audaciously'' 5) ''defiant'' euqals to ''challenging'' / ''marked by something audacious'' = ''she was a dauntless woman'' 6) ''dignified'' equals to ''worthy of respect'' Hope that helps!!! :)

Breaking it down: 1. There were many good performances. 2. Hala had the best performance. 3. Hala played a woman who was compassionate BUT ALSO very defiant. Does that help?
