What is the difference between reading and studying? 1 I am reading the book right now. 2. I am studying the book right now. Does read mean that you look at sentences in the book and speak them out loud or just look at them in the book?

Reading is looking at the sentences. You don't need to read them out loud, and usually you don't. Studying is trying to learn. You try to memorise facts, and understand the ideas and concepts. So - typically you read a novel, and study a textbook.
