1. If you generally want to say that someone is 'at the beach', it is ok. But, there are so many others too at the beach. It can mean someone is near or on the beach too!. But, if you want to mean that someone is actually enjoying surfing, or enjoying an ice-cream near the sea, then say, 'she is on the beach'. 2. 'Inside the pool' 3. If someone is actually using the gym, then use 'inside the gym'.
