How can you explain to children what vocal cords mean? It's a weird question, but i really need to know it

Good question ;) The first thing that comes to mind is to show a guitar and explain how vocal cords are like strings that vivrate inside the throat to produce sounds. Not 100% accurate but close enough. You need something simple and visual for young learners ;)

For children you don't need to explain the anatomy and structure of vocal cords, you can show them how a guitar string produces sound by vibration and draw an analogy between it and vocal cords.

Show them images. A picture is worth a thousand words.

I'm with Mesham on this one, but even further. If you are explaining how something works, you're headed in the wrong direction. Explain what you need in terms they already understand.
