The cosmetics "are" perfect-- Die Kosmetik "ist" perfekt? Is it correct or it should be Die Kosmetik "sind" perfekt? Thanks for your help.

"Kosmetik" is an uncountable noun, so it's always "Die Kosmetik IST". But if you are talking about several products, you should say "Die Kosmetika sind". That's the plural of the Latin(ish) word "Kosmetikum" (cosmetic product), which is hardly ever used in the singular form, but all the time in plural.
