How do i understand the meaning of this sentence correctly? (the sentece uses "Indirect Quotation") I have a sentence like this: 김 씨가 요즘 시험 준비하느라 빠쁘대요 i think there are 2 ways to understand the sentence: 1. Kim said that he is busy because of preparing for the exam 2. I heard (somebody said) that Kim is busy because of preparing for the exam Because the sentence has "대요", i don't know "대요" means " Kim said that" or "i hear (somebody said) that". Which ways to understand this sentence correctly? Can you explain it to me? thank you.

'대요' > '~하다고 해요'

They are both correct, it shows that you know about the information. From whom you heard it, it doesn’t matter. When you want to tell somebody (except Kim) that Kim is busy, you can use the word, '대요'. :D
