What's the difference between affect and effect?
Hello everyone!!
I got confused between affect and effect.
Could you please help me with meaning and usages.

"Affect" is a verb - to affect : "Will the new rules affect you?"
It's usually pronounced 'uhfect'.
"Effect is a noun - to have an effect : "Will the new rules have an effect on you?'
It's usually pronounced 'ifect'.
NB There is also a verb "to effect", but it's quite formal, and not used in everyday contexts.
