Would you use soccer match or game when referring to a match played between Barcelona and AC Milan? I'm interested in knowing what AmE would use in this case. Thank you :)

Hi Lily; Americans refer to European Football as Soccer. It is not meant as an insult. America - French Fries, UK - Chips America - Chips, UK - Crisps Have a good day, Stephen

Both are correct. I guess people are a bit uncomfortable with the use of the word "soccer", especially Europeans, because we call it football and people think that "soccer" is kind of insulting and that only Americans use it.
