'present company excepted' is not a common phrase in the UK. I've never heard it

Hi Sinem, You could also say: "Except those (who are) present" "Apart from those (who are) present" "With the exception of those (who are) present" "Excluding those present" "Who are" is optional in the above sentences. Hope this helps! Sinead
