Past and Future As-tu mangé dans ce restaurant la semaine dernière? Vas-tu jouer au tennis la semaine prochaine? As-tu Vas-tu I know " as-tu " is for the past and "vas-tu " is for the future but can you please explain the structure for me more?? thank you

"As-tu mangé...", c'est le passé composé. Pour conjuguer le "passé composé", il faut un auxiliaire ("avoir" ici, "être" with some other verbs) : "tu as mangé", "tu as vu un nouveau film", "tu es allé au cinéma ?". "Vas-tu..." : is just the same as "are you going to...".

Avoir (have): As-tu =Have you (eaten)? = Did you eat. (French uses present perfect normally) Aller (go): Vas-tu = Are you going to (eat)? :)
