Time left or extra time in a speaking exam If you are sitting a speaking test and you must speak for 2 minutes but you stop talking after 1, 45 min..what do you call the rest of the time ? I had time left , said nothing and failed the test. Does it make sense ? Thanks

'I had time left' makes sense, or you could say 'I had 15 seconds left'. 'Extra time' is when you are given more time than normal.. e.g. I had so much to talk about, the examiner gave me some extra time to finish what I was saying.

Yes, it makes sense. You could also say, "I had time remaining" or "there were 15 seconds remaining"
