synesthesia Hi I'm reading a text about synesthesia and I'm really confused about the text and the meaning of synesthesia! would you please make this pragraph more clear to me? When most people read a book, magazine etc, they see the words as black marks on the page. This is not surprising given that ink in most publications is black. However, there is a group of people who do not see the words in front of them as black. Instead they might say that the number 4 is blue or the word gift is green. Others might say that the pain from a headache is orange, the flavor of sugar round, or a sniff of a bouquet of roses pink.

Synesthesia is a rare condition that causes come people to experience the sense of sight, hearing, smell, etc. differently than most people. For example, when they hear a sound, they don’t just hear it (the way most people do) but they might also experience the sensation of “seeing” a color associated with the sound. I am not sure that the author’s description of synesthesia is totally accurate because the idea of seeing a number 4 as blue is not something I have heard before in connection with synesthesia. If you want accurate information, you should research from a trustworthy source.
