In English, a proper way to tell someone older than you "you're supposed to" could be... "It would be great if you could give your child more time to relax." "Maybe giving your child more time to relax would be beneficial." Flat out saying "you're supposed to" would not be great whether elder or not. :) Hope this helps! -Michelle R.
