Difference What is the difference between "보육원" and "고아원" ?

사전적 의미는 같아요. -원은 장소를 뜻합니다. 그래서 고아원이 보육원보다 더 '고아'를 강조한 느낌이에요. (고아+원, 보육+원) 최근 한국에서는 '고아원'대신 '보육원'을 주로 씁니다🙂

The first one = kindy. The second one = orphanage.
