'automatic withdrawn' or 'pay by direct debit'?
In Japan, the monthly utility bill of water, electricity are 1)automatically withdrawn from your savings account. 2) You can pay them by direct debit. Which is a natural expression 1) or 2)? and is this way of payment common in your country?
"In Japan, monthly utility bills for water, electricity and so on are usually paid by direct debit" would be a typical British English sentence. And direct debit is widely used here too :) I can't speak for other places, like the USA or Australia.
