What does this mean? "In the harsh Arctic environment, even the best hunters can go a long time between kills. And, to make the most of unreliable feeding opportunities, wolves will gorge on their victims – consuming nearly twenty percent of their body weight in a single feeding." What does "consuming nearly twenty percent of their body weight in a single feeding" mean? Whose body weight? Wolves' or victims'? What is "a single feeding"? One mouthful bite or one meal? Thank you

Like the cat, the photo of which is in your profile, the answer is a wolf that has eaten 20% of its hunt at one sitting :)

If they weigh 100 lbs, they will consume up to 20 lbs in a single feeding, aka gorging. As noted, the wolves body weight. A single feeding means from whenever they start eating until they stop. Could be 1/2 hour, 1 hour, more.
