If X 'gets the best' of Y, it means X defeats or overcomes Y
Example: Peter is bigger than Paul, so Peter got 'the best of' of Paul in the fight. ie Peter defeated/overcame Paul.

In your text, 'Does your anger get the best of you" means "Does your anger overcome/defeat you sometimes" ie. You lose control of it.
