Is this sentence well-formed? Hello dear native speakers Are the following sentences well-formed and natural, especially the "by definition" part? Am I using it properly? Dictionaries, by definition, are reference books which give a list of words in alphabetical order and explain their meanings. They are actually designed to enable learners to develop a wide vocabulary. Thanks in advance

Hi Saeiiid, yes, they are well formed sentences. Personally, I would edit "give a list of" to simply, "list words", but that is a small change. Well done!
