when we offer things we need to use some(not any) then why...
Would you like any chocolate?
Do you want anything to drink?
I have heard both of these questions.
Why they have used any in offering(grammar states that we should not do so)
So they are questions, not offerings. You can also say would you like some chocolate, because we know there is some, and again, do you want something to drink? With questions that offer, some can be used. This may also help: https://www.english-at-home.com/grammar/some-and-any/ Thanks, Tutor Zowee :)
